What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the unprecedented success of The Odyssey in premium large formats. It shattered records by claiming the biggest opening Friday of the year and securing Universal's fifth-largest opening Friday ever. The BFI Imax, the U.K.'s largest screen, set a new history with its highest three-day opening weekend, attracting an astonishing $294,249 from a single venue. This surpassed the previous record held by Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017, with Oppenheimer now in third place.
